Danny Darrell Dortch
Danny Darrell Dortch, 74, of Rector, Ark., passed from the cares of this life to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday May 26, 2018. He was born on February 8, 1944, in the White Oak Community to James Henry and the late Wynell Seay Dortch. Danny was retired from the Farm Service Agency in Piggott after 33 years of dedicated service. He was united in marriage to Rita (Miller) Dortch on Dec. 16, 1962, and went through both the joys and sorrows of life for the next 55 years. Danny was of the General Baptist Faith. He was member of the Blue Cane General Baptist Church for 63 years and served as a deacon for 44 of those years. At the close of the Blue Cane Church, Danny became a member and deacon of the Marmaduke First General Baptist Church. Danny enjoyed his retirement for the last 12 years. He loved spending time in the yard and was always involved in a carpentry project with one of his girls. The most important things in his life were God and his family, and spent his days making sure his family knew how much they were loved and how much “God loved us”.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Wynell Dortch, and his sister, Carlene (Dortch) Cook
