The Piggott RC Modelers will once-again host their annual spring fly-in this weekend, with aircraft and pilots from seveal states expected to participate. The fly-in is held the first weekend in June at the local RC park, located a half mile east of the Piggott Public Pool.

The fly-in regularly draws some of the best pilots from the region, with a variety of fixed-wing and other aircraft. During the two day of the event there will be a variety of competitions, free flying and demonstrations.

There is no charge for admission for the public and there will be concessions available both days. The show will be going on throughout the day on Saturday, June 2, and will continue on Sunday.

“We've got several planes and a lot of equipment that will be included in our annual raffle,” local organizer Myron Low reported. “Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the fly-in and learn more about a great sport.”

The local RC modelers have been sponsoring the spring show for a number of years, although previous events have suffered from bad weather. This year's forecast is a good one, which should result in a large number of both participants and spectators.
