Wilma Jean Scott
Wilma Jean Scott, also known affectionately as “Mamaw”, passed from this life on Monday June 11, 2018, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, Paragould, Ark., at the age of 83 years. She was born on September 3, 1934, in McDougal, Ark., to the late Floyd and Dorothy (Stanley) Bradshaw. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Scott in July of 1951, and to this union two children were born. Wilma was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, her animals and especially her grandchildren and granddogs.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Scott; a sister, Mary Rice and a grandchild, Christian Lawrence.
She is survived by her children, Rita and Ken Lawrence and Hoss and Tammy Scott, all of Rector Ark.; her grandchildren, Ashley and Carl Jones, Hannah Scott, Ryan and Dixie Lawrence, Autumn and Donald Benson and Amber and Mark Main; great-grandchildren, Samantha Main, Jacob Main, Elizabeth Benson, Barrett Lawrence and Brooks Lawrence. She's also survived by her special grandchildren, Cody and Lindsay Carter and KK, Lawson and Justus Carter; her granddogs, Lady Bug, Shorty, Lil’ Bit and Booly; along with a host of other special relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday June 14, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Bro. Ronnie Stevens and David Floyd officiating. Interment will be at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
