Dorothy Sue Burns
Dorothy Sue Burns went to be with her Lord and Savior at 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the age of 79, in the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark. She was born to the late Zelmer and Lola Moore, in Rector, Ark., on September 9, 1938.
She had been a resident of the Rector Nursing and Rehab the past three years where she enjoyed playing Bingo. Her passion was also her cats. She was a care giver to them and a great homemaker and enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Doyne Burns who passed away in May of 2012; her parents, Zelmer and Lola Moore; her grandmother, Clossee Manning who raised her; brothers, Floyd Manning and Cloyce Manning; and her sisters, Nellie Reeve and Angie Beckley.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy and Bob Hampton of Grand Blanc, Mich.;, her sons, David (Carol) Burns of Corning, Ark. and Michael Burns of Piggott, Ark.; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She had some wonderful nurses and care staff, along with many great friends, at the Rector Nursing and Rehab, Dorothy will be greatly missed by all those who loved and cared for her.
We love you momma and will see you one day when itís our time.
She was laid to rest in a service held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 22, at the Woodland Heights Cemetery, in Rector, with Loren Johnson officiating.
