Cynthia Jo Boyd
Cynthia Jo Boyd, 87, affectionately known as “Granny,” passed from this life on August 1, 2018, at the Heritage Nursing Home in Kennett, Mo. She was born on June 20, 1931, in the house outside of Rector, Ark., where she later raised her family.
Jo loved having her family around and helping raise all her beloved grandchildren, who continue to tell all the fun stories and things that Granny allowed them to do.
She was good at spoiling her husband, kids and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George “Pete” Boyd; her parents, Clarence Toone and Beedie and Roy Seyler and her siblings.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Cheri Boyd of Rector; her daughter and son-in-law, Gala and Roger Little of Rector; her grandchildren, Eric and Kristen Bohr, Daniel Boyd, Wes and Briana Bohr, Jason and Sarah Boyd, Drew and Kimber Boyd, Nathan and Heather Little, Amy Little and Emily Clayton; her great-grandchildren, Cody Boyd Taylor Bohr, River Rice, Raven Rice, Cindy Boyd, Colton Boyd, Conner Boyd, Isabella Boyd, Kendall Boyd and Grey Boyd and her great-great-grandchildren, Zane Graham and Harlie and Heidi Little.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, at the Irby Funeral Home, in Rector, with Ted Wimberley as the officiant. The visitation will begin at 12 p.m. and continue until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Woodland Heights Cemetery, Rector.
