Jimmie Welty, 75 years old, of Qulin, Mo., passed away August 16, 2018, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Ark.
He was born January 9, 1943, in Fagus, Mo., to the late Owen and Claudia (Fowler) Welty.
In April 17, 1965, he married the love of his life, Sue Hamilton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Carroll and Michael Ray Welty; and a sister, Faye Ashcraft.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; two sons, Tim (Media) Welty and Cameron (Krystal) Welty, both of Fagus, Mo.; a daughter, Nina (Brian) Leutert of Fagus, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Lee Welty, Abby Clark, Skyler Leutert, Aaron Welty, Brady Leutert, Layton Leutert, Karissa Welty and Porter Welty; two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Elijah Welty; two brothers, Kenny Welty of Brownwood, Mo. and Ronnie Welty of McDougal, Ark.; two sisters, Bonnie Clayton of Sikeston, Mo. and Janice Norman of Dexter, Mo.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, Piggott, Ark., closing in prayer with Brother Shelly Elkins.
