Glen Harold White, 87 of Rector, Ark., passed from this life on August 26, 2018, at the NEA Baptist Hospital, Jonesboro, Ark. He was born August 29, 1930 in Rector. Glen served his apprenticeship as a barber in Marmaduke, Ark., then went to Fisher, Ark. where he had his first shop.

He then came back to Rector, where he had a barber shop for around 61 years. Glen is most remembered for his love of music. He was a very talented fiddle and guitar

player and enjoyed singing. Those were his happiest times.

Glen was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Russell White; his mother, Alice

(Murphy) White; and his stepmother, who raised him, Bessie (Burns) White; his

wives, Francis (Tracy) White and Wilma (Rodgers) White; a son, Brantley White; his brother, Gene White, and two sisters, Royce Meyer and Dorothy Fuller.

He is survived by his sons, Russell and Diann White, Jack White and Tim White all of Rector; his stepchildren, Katrina and David Wofford of Grand Prairie, Tex. and Chuck and Lenee Chadwick of Fayetteville, Ark.; his grandchildren, Jonathan White and fiancÚ Ashley DeMonte, Jennifer and Daniel Daughty, Shannon and Corbin Hill, Ryan and Skyler White, Josh White, Adam and Ivonne White and Lindsey and Anthony Smith; his great-grandchildren, Katherine Daughty, Victoria, Jackson, Carter, and Sophia Hill, Chloe, Sebastian, Toby and Jude White, Levi White, Lillian Glidewell, Sagan Smith and a great-grandson arriving in November.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, with the service starting at 1 p.m. at the Irby Funeral Home in Rector. Interment will be at Rock Springs Cemetery, Knob Ark.
