Tour of Homes Sunday
The return of the popular Holiday Home Tours is exciting the Clay County community, and this rebirth is thanks to Clay County Arts Council. In keeping with the tradition of the event, three families have opened their homes for a showcase of holiday decorating and in a spirit of good wishes and Christmas cheer. This year's tour will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. this Sunday, Dec. 9.
Dr. Randy and Cindy McComb offer the chance to visit their new home, located at 1398 CR 473, west of Piggott. Meanwhile, Kyle and Christina Cox and children are thrilled to share their home at 1393 Deer Run Lane, in Piggott. Also included is the Karl and Matilda Pfeiffer estate at 1071 Heritage Park, which will be decorated for the season with the open house hosted by Claire Rouse and Julie Mobley. The 1931 Tudor revival home is now best known as the Matilda and Karl Pfeiffer Museum—home to an extensive gem and mineral collection along with a vast array of Native American artifacts.
Tickets are $15, with the funds supporting CCAC programming, and will be good for admission to all three sites. Tickets will be sold at The Nest, Piggott City Market, Madpies, and Rector Water Department. The directions to each home will be also distributed from the ticket vendor. Or, for those who choose the tickets for all three sites may be acquired at the first home tour of their choice. CCAC board members will be at each home to assist guests and light refreshments will be served.
“Make your Christmas holidays festive and bright as you begin the season with Holiday Home Tours, this year held in Piggott,” a spokesperson noted.
