Piggott Council Runoff Results

Thursday, December 6, 2018

Local voters favored the incumbent as they went to the polls Tuesday in the runoff election for Piggott city council. With a fairly large number of early and absentee voters casting their ballots ahead of time, councilman Jamey Parks edged challenger Brent Sanders by a final tally of 242-228.

Parks will now serve another four year term as the city council member from south ward, position two, beginning on Jan. 1. It will be his third term in office. The two were in a runoff for the seat on council as they received the most votes in a three way race in the recent General Election.
