Lady Cougars Advance in NEA, Boys Fall

The Rector Lady Cougars have advanced to the Division I championship game of the NEA Tournament, and will play at noon Friday against Palestine-Wheatley. They advanced to the title game with a win over Manila, after beating Marked Tree in the first round.

As for the boys, they drew a bye in the first round and the top seed and were then upset by Cross County 42-34.

Meanwhile, both Marmaduke teams are still playing as well, the boys will meet Rivercrest with a chance to advance at 4:30 on Thursday while the girls will face-off with Riverside at 3 p.m. on Friday in the Division II championship.
