Mary Salome Linam
Mary Linam, 105, of Wynne, Ark., and formerly a resident of Rector, Ark., passed away on December 30, 2018, at the Crest Park Nursing Home, in Wynne. She was born September 4, 1913, in Bloomfield, Mo., to the late William (Ed) and Effie (Moody) Davisson. Mary, and her husband Hughey, had an upholstery service in Rector. She was known by many for her beautiful handwork. Among her efforts, she crocheted the Lordís Prayer which is on display in the Rector Community Museum.
She was never idle. Mary belonged to the First Baptist Church in Rector, the Eastern Star and was active in the Extension Service Home Demonstration Club for over 60 years. She was also honored to be chosen as the Woman of the Year by the Rector Womenís Club. She was also well known for her cooking abilities.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Rudell Davisson; a son-in-law, Bill Muhollen; a grandson; a great-grandson; five sisters and a brother.
She is survived by her husband of 80 years, Hughey Linam; her children and in-laws, Yvonne Mulhollen of North Little Rock, Ark., Anthony and Carolyn Linam of Colt, Ark., William and Carolyn Linam of Hot Springs Village, Ark. and Mike and Rhonda Linam of Wynne, Ark., 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:45 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Rector First Baptist Church, in Rector, with the service following at 2.
