Sylvia Shepherd, 94, of Corning, Ark., passed away on January 11, 2019 at Corning Therapy and Living Center, in Corning.
Mrs. Shepherd was born October 5, 1924, in the Crockett, Ark. community. She was retired from Brown Shoe Factory in Piggott, Ark. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, quilting and spending time with her family. She was a member of McDougal Church of Christ, McDougal, Ark.
On September 12, 1942, she married Ewing Shepherd, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Diane Haywood of McDougal; Linda (Wayne) Allmon of McDougal; and Frank (Sandra) Shepherd of Osceola, Ark.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, William Lee and Ada (Nettles) Kilbreath; brothers Scottie, Warner, Rue Porter, Byron, Harold, Howard and Russell Kilbreath; and son-in-law Roger Haywood.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be at Post Oak Cemetery, McDougal.
