Cathy Manning, 62, of Rector, Ark., passed away on February 16, 2019, after a very brave fight against cancer. She was a courageous woman that was determined to win the battle. Cathy will long be remembered for her work with the youth at First General Baptist Church, her many hours of working with Helping Hands, all the years that she helped organize the Labor Day Parade, her special ability to getting her family and friends involved also, her many years of performing as Office Manager for Crockett Oil Company and Hamilton Farms and most of all her love for her husband, daughter, special grandson and her nephews and other family and friends.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Maurine (Lincoln)
Blankenship; a brother, Eddie Blankenship; and a sister, Vanita Long.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Manning; her daughter and son-in-law,
Lindsey and Mark Manchester; her grandson, Caleb Manning; a sister and brother-in-law, Edwina and Frank Bradshaw; a brother-in-law, Joe Long and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, at the First General Baptist Church in Rector. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Church. Interment will be at the Woodland Heights Cemetery, Rector.
Memorials may be made to the Helping Hands.
