Jimmy Lee Thompson, Sr.
Jimmy Lee Thompson Sr., 73, of Piggott, Ark., passed away February 13, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born on September 4, 1945, in Granite City, Ill., and was the son of Wesley and Lacolian "Peggy" (Bauman) Householder.
Jimmy was united in marriage to Becky (Poarch) Thompson on March 14, 1972.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Thompson; mother, Lacolian "Peggy" Householder; wife, Becky Thompson; stepson, Kenneth Wayne Hill; brother, Gary Thompson.
Survivors include his daughters, Juanita Lynn Biffar of Russellville, Ark. and Loletia Deann Forester of Cahokia, Ill.; sons, Jimmy Lee Thompson, Jr. of Cahokia and Shane Ira Thompson of Piggott; step children, James Edward Gibson of Piggott, Jeffrey Lee Gibson of Piggott, Kathy Lynn Jackson of Owensville, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Nathan Householder, Norman Householder, Michael Householder, Ricky Householder; sisters, Loretta Householder, Donna Sue Duke, Dianna Mae Corrando, Charlotte Jean Eaton, Cheryl Ann Ross; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, at the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, in Piggott, with Bill Ivy officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Ark. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, of Piggott, was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Monday, prior to services, at the funeral home.
