Harold Piland, 83, of Piggott, Ark., passed away February 17, 2019, surrounded by his family in Mountain Home, Ark.
He was born on June 17, 1935, in Greenway, Ark., and was the son of Boman and Olive (Haley) Piland.
Harold was united in marriage to Wilda Marie Williams on March 12, 1955, and to this union two sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his father, Boman Piland; mother, Olive Piland; wife, Wilda Marie Piland; and son, Steve Piland.
Harold was a longtime member of the First General Baptist Church of Piggott.
Survivors include his son, Stan (Nola) Piland of Collierville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Tina Piland of Mountain Home, Ark. and MaKailey Piland of Memphis, Tenn.; grandson, Myles Piland of Collierville, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Wil Whaley, Brady Whaley and Anthony Gummalauski; great-great-granddaughter, Hera Whaley; sister, June Marie Causey of Blytheville, Ark.; nephews, Jerry Causey, and Ken Causey; niece Susan Howard; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, in Piggott, with Bro. Chris Brantley officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Ark. Pallbearers will be Wil Whaley, Brady Whaley, Anthony Gummalauski and David Howard. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, of Piggott, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, and continue until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
