Butler County Crash Claims Life of Piggott Man
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the death of a Piggott man in a single vehicle crash late Saturday night near Poplar Bluff. According to the report, Roger S. Trammell, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene after the pickup in which he was a passenger ran off the highway and overturned.
The report indicated the driver of the truck was Skye L. Pruitt, 27, of Piggott. The narrative indicated the vehicle was southbound on Highway 53, about five miles south of Poplar Bluff, just before midnight when the crash occurred. Reportedly, the vehicle ran off the left side of the highway and overturned in the sideditch.
Trammell was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash around 1:13 a.m. by Butler County Coroner Andy Moore while Pruitt was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
The fatal accident was investigated by Trooper C.M. Morgan of the MSHP.
