Lady Cougars Split Pair in 2A-3

The Rector Lady Cougars split a pair of conference games in the past week, as the regular season draws to a close.

Thursday they took on the Salem Lady Greyhounds and fell 17-5, with the squad committing eight errors in the process. Morgan Garner took the loss, giving up 16 hits while walking three. Producing the way at the plate was Carly Robinson with a double and a single; Sawyer Hendrix with two singles; Mylesa Gant and Kena Parrish with doubles and Colbie Robinson, Garner and Alyse Gant with singles.

Monday afternoon the Rector girls visited BIC, and pounded the Lady Mustangs 13-3.

Garner got the complete game win while giving up just four hits and striking out seven, while the RHS girls committed three errors. C.C. Reints had a big day with three singles and three RBI; Colbie Robinson had two singles and drove in two runs; Garner had two singles; and Hendrix, Carly Robinson, Mylesa Gant, Madison Stokes, Parrish and Alyse Gant all had singles in the win.
