Amelia Lurene Vangilder

Amelia Lurene Vangilder, 91, of Rector, Ark., passed from the cares of this life on Tuesday May 7, 2019, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark. She was born on February 4, 1928, in Greene County, Ark., to the late Linsey Herbert and Olla Belle (Collier) Seay.

Lurene worked at Brown Shoe Company and was of the Baptist Faith.

Lurene was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Juanell Dortch and Helen Donaldson; three brothers, Aaron Seay, Harold Seay and Maurice Seay; one grandson, Benjamin Vangilder. She is survived by her husband, E.J. Vangilder; daughter, Dianne Wilson and James of Gentry, Ark.; sons, Dennis Vangilder and Wanda of Ralph, Ark., Alvin Vangilder and Regina of Rector and Andy Vangilder and Jill of Marmaduke; grandchildren, Jonathan Vangilder, Cindy Still, David Wilson, Danny Wilson, Donna Mitchell, Denise Hayashi, Dawn Weir, Joshua Vangilder, Sarah Vangilder, Colby Wynn, Kelsey Wynn; one sister, Betty Crews, one brother, Larry Seay; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday May 12, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector. Funeral Services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday May 13, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home. Burial followed at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Memorials may be made to the Clay or Greene County 4-H program or to Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church In Knob, Ark.
