Piggott Schools Announces Change to Meals Program
Piggott School patrons who are taking part in the feeding program are reminded that the process has changed for this week. According to Superintendent Barry DeHart, distribution of meals for all five days is being conducted from 10 a.m. to noon today, Monday, March 30, at the rear of the elementary school. For safety's sake, recipients are asked to send someone from the household to retrieve the meals. He also indicated all of the food items would be marked, indicating what needed to be refrigerated and details on what needed to be heated. The same process will be repeated next Monday, April 6, with five days of meals distributed. And, DeHart indicated the free meals would continue afterward if the re-start of school is further delayed. AMI packs are also being sent out, and those who do not receive one should call the main office at 870 598-2572 or the appropriate campus. The high school is 870 598-3815 and the elementary school is 870 598-2546.
The meals are available to everyone 18 and under, and there are no charges or other mandates.
