Wilma Janet Ray
Wilma Janet Ray, 76, of Piggott, Ark., passed away April 19, 2020, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott.
She was born on February 5, 1944, in Piggott, Ark., and was the daughter of Jessie and Leona (Crittendon) Vaughn.
Wilma was united in marriage to Shelby Bond Ray on Sept. 4, 1964.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Earl Pete Vaughn; her mother, Leona Irene Vaughn; sisters, Ella Mae Craig, Melva "Ann" Catterton and Bonnie Louise Vaughn; and a brother, Gene Earl Vaughn.
She enjoyed embroidering and working in her flowers.
Survivors include her sons, Victor Landon Ray and Keith Dewayne Ray; three sisters, Sandy Scheffler and husband Gary of McDougal, Ark., Evelyn "Kay" Ricks of Republic, Mo. and Jane Matney of Derby, Kan.; brother, Timothy M. Vaughn of Brunswick, Maine; two nieces who lived close by and were like sisters, Marilyn Bell and Debbie White; along with many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at the Piggott Cemetery, in Piggott, with Bro. Charles Richardson officiating.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, of Piggott, was in charge of the arrangements.
