Rosie Mae White
Rosie Mae White, 89, of Rector, Ark., passed from the cares of this life to be with Jesus on Friday, May 8, 2020, at Rector Nursing and Rehab, in Rector. She was born on May 30, 1930 in Black Oak, Ark., to the late William Ira and Gladys Marie (Clayton) Harris.
Rosie was a hard working mother who loved spending time with her family. Some of the best times spent were around the family table where Rosie would serve her delicious home cooked meals. Among her household duties, she also worked on the family farm alongside her husband and worked for Emerson Electric.
She was a dedicated member of the Rector First General Baptist Church until her health declined. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Rosie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Wayne White; one son, Gary White; and one brother, Billy Harris. She is survived by her children, Melinda and Doyle Grooms of Paragould, Ark., Regenia and Neal Smith of Piggott, Ark., Starlett and Steve Barker of Piggott, Jerry and Patty White and Robin and Bobbie White all of Paragould, Ark., and Neal and Tabitha White of Rector; sisters, Earline Presson of Jonesboro, Alma White of Marmaduke, Ark. and Thelma Ash of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren; along with a host of other special relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday May 11, at Woodland Heights Cemetery, in Rector, with Daniel White and Kenny Burns officiating. Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home, of Rector, is in charge of the arrangements.
