Ruby Chamberlain, 85, of Paragould, Ark., and formerly of Rector, Ark., passed from this world on June 11, 2020, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Ruby enjoyed going to all the yard sales, playing cards with the family and playing checkers. She was greatly loved by family and friends.
She was born January 19, 1935, to Johnie and Ella Mae (Ray) Stricklin, in Rector. Her faith was Church of Christ. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Delmer Hardin; her sons, Jeffery Stalling and Ricky Hardin; her parents, Johnie and Ella Mae Stricklin; three brothers, Monroe McMurty, Carl Stricklin and Clyde Stricklin; along with two sisters, Betty Walker and Gerlene Johnson.
She is survived by three sons, Bobby and Loretta Hardin, Randy and Martha Hardin and Michael and Tammy Hardin; one daughter, Brenda and Chester Cooley; nine grandkids and 25 great-grand kids.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time at 1 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2020, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 50 people will be allowed to gather inside of Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home at any given time and all must practice social distancing, keeping a six-foot distance between one another. Face masks are required to enter the building.
