Donald Dell Calhoun, 76, of Corning, Ark., passed away June 12, 2020, at his home.
Mr. Calhoun was born November 27, 1943, in McDougal, Ark. He was retired from Hartís Manufacturing and farming. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He loved to play his guitar and had attended Apostolic Fellowship Church of McDougal.
On May 5, 1963, he married Geraldine Payne, and she survives.
Other survivors include his son Ricky (Sarah) Calhoun of Corning; brothers Dennis Calhoun of Greenway, Ark., Danny Calhoun of McDougal, Darrell (Luetta) Calhoun of Paragould, Ark., Jackie (Sandy) Calhoun of Rector, Ark., and Danny (Brandy) Calhoun, Jr. of Corning; sisters Virginia Caughron of Trumann, Ark., Evelyn (Sam) Winstead of Greenway, Gloria (Jim) Crittenden of Piggott, Ark., Nellie (Vic) Butler of Piggott; grandsons, Brandon, Jon and Drew Calhoun; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Goldie Loggins and Earline Sharp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Bonnie Calhoun; brother, Donnie Calhoun; grandparents, Olie and Gerutha Calhoun, Onan and Liza Sprouse; nephew, Darrin Poe; parents-in-law, Willie and Rhoda Payne; brothers-in-law, Jerry Caughron and Kenneth Loggins; and two sister-in-laws, Becky Calhoun and Teresa Calhoun.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday June 14, at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will be conducted at 5 p.m. on Monday June 15, at the funeral home with Pastor Herbert Ellis and Lavern Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Post Oak Cemetery, McDougal.
