Frances Marilene Horner
Frances Marilene Horner, 83, of Swartz Creek, Mich., died Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at McLaren Hospital, Flint, Mich.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 19, at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Mich., with Pastor Steven Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Society.
Mrs. Horner was born in Rector, Ark., in January of 1937, to the late Roy Curtis and Ruth Virginia (Parham) Curtis. On July 3, 1954, she married the late James Milton Horner in Hornersville, Mo.
Mrs. Horner was a resident of Springvale Assisted Living, and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church both in Swartz Creek.
Preceding Mrs. Horner in death are her husband of 56 years, James M. Horner; her parents; one brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Mary Curtis; a beloved aunt, Freeda Bookout; a grandson, Joshua Horner; and son-in-law, Alan Hutson.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mark A. (Cris) Horner of Lakeway, Tex. and Timothy J. (Carolynn) Horner of Battle Creek, Mich.; daughters, Sheree A. (Steven) Thomas of Carleton, Mich., Karen R. (Carl) Steinbock of Flushing, Mich., Jamie M. (Tony) Lynn of Plymouth, Mich.; Lisa G. Hutson of Frisco, Tex. and Tracy L. (Doug) Edwards of Grand Blanc, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ida Lois (Jerry) Vance of Midland, Mich. And her beloved cousins, Bill (Carol) Bookout, and Linda Bookout.
