Jimmy Craig Helms
Jimmy Craig Helms, 52, of Piggott, Ark., left us on Saturday, September 5, 2020, flying high in the sky.
He was born on August 10, 1968, in Kennett, Mo., and was the son of Danny and Susan (McLeskey) Helms.
Jimmy Craig was united in marriage to Tonya Denise Blue on Jan. 9, 2002.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Forrest and brother, Jake Forrest.
Jimmy Craig was an avid pilot who had a passion for airplanes. He accepted Jesus into his life when he was 11 and was baptized April 13, 1980.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya Denise Helms of Piggott; mother, Susan Gail Helms of Pollard, Ark.; father, Danny Otis Helms and wife Nancy of Piggott; stepmother, Pam Forrest of Rector, Ark.; children, Whitley Nicole Blue and boyfriend Austin of Paragould, Ark., Mason Lee Henry and girlfriend Selina of Piggott, Jaclyn Charlotte Helms of the home, and Nicolas Craig Helms of the home; granddaughter, Adley Grace Vaughn of Paragould; sisters, Mary Denise Small and husband Harold of Pollard, and Kim Helms of Conway, Ark.; along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, in Piggott, Arkansas, with a Masonic Service beginning at 2 p.m. A graveside service followed at 3:30 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, with Steve Baker officiating. Pallbearers were Wayne Smith, Steve Baker, Zach Baker, David Gossett, Todd Coppage, Danny Seal, Tyler Trevathan and Josh Atchley. Honorary pallbearers were Greg Mallard, John Brawner, Gary Dunlap, Randy Low, Jerrod Lowe, Harold Small, Shannon Blue and Darrin Blue.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, of Piggott, was in charge of the arrangements.
