Randol Scott "Randy" Caldwell

Randol Scott “Randy” Caldwell, son of Pat (Holmes) Caldwell and the late Don Caldwell, was born April 15, 1961, in Kennett, Mo., and departed this life on November 3, 2020, at the age of 59 years, six months and 19 days.

Randy married Paula Merrell on Oct. 1, 1988.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Caldwell of Kennett; mother, Pat Caldwell of Rector, Ark.; two sons, Ben (Meagan) Caldwell of Piggott, Ark. And Will Caldwell of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Lisa Wayne of Paragould, Ark. And Kelly (Bruce) Miller of Hornersville, Mo.; a hot of nieces, nephews and several close friends; the mother-in-law he never/sister-in-law Pam Milum; and a brother-in-law, George Merrell IV.

Randy was also survived by his dog, Lucy, his constant companion.

Randy graduated ASU in May of 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Ag Business Economics. He began his career with PCA/Federal Land Bank in June of 1984 which is now Farm Credit Service—a career that spanned 36 years. While working at PCA/Federal Land Bank, Randy met Paula Merrell. Randy and Paula were married on Oct. 1, 1988 having 32 years together.

Randy loved deer, dove and turkey hunting and was an avid reader. He loved spending time with family and friends at his orchard. Randy and his Dad farmed together for many years and had a wonderful relationship.

Randy was preceded by his father, Don Caldwell; maternal Grandparents, Raymond and Lois Holmes, and paternal grandparents, Tollie and Lillie Caldwell.

A remembrance celebration of Randy’s life was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, at The Orchard in Holly Island, Ark. with Graveside Services following at Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Ark., with Reverend Mark Kailbourn officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers were Charlie Haywood, Ben Caldwell, Will Caldwell, James Eason, Mike Morgan, Greg Engle, Dr. Dave Jain, Mark Moore, Matt Sutfin, Sonny Masterson, Tom Montgomery, Mardon Layne, Eddie Bowman and Roger Morris.

McDaniel Funeral Service, of Kennett, Mo, was in charge of the arrangements.
