Orvil Eugene Nanney
Orvil Eugene Nanney, 76, of Piggott, Ark., went to be with his Lord, Thursday, January 14, 2021, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
He was born on September 4, 1944, in Greenway, Ark., and was the son of the late Obbie and Mary Alyeene (Shaffer) Nanney.
He retired from General Motors after a 31 year career. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Michael Nanney; and nephew, Craig Crittenden.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Nanney of the home; daughters, Sherry (Mark) Mackenzie, Cindy Bogard, Susan (Jim) Tottingham, Maryjo Nanney, Debora Nanney, Michelle Caldwell, Amanda (Brian) McInturf; son, Philip (Windy) Caldwell; sister, Ann (Carlos) Crittenden; grandchildren, Brian (Andrea), Jacob (Della), Ashley (David), Ryan, Steven, Austin, Owen, Elizabeth (Hank), Mark, Lucas, Tyler, Emma, Luke, Bennett Eugene, Ramona and Waylon; great-grandchildren, Cohen, Kinsley, McKenna, Oliver, Allison, Conner and Taylor; aunts, Nina Long and Naomi Shaffer; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in, Piggott. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Bro. Kevin Murray officiating. Masks are required.
