Mark Butler, 66, of Greenway, Ark. passed away January 22, 2021, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.
He was born on November 28, 1954, in Little Rock, Ark., and was the son of the late Alvin H. and Eunice Emmeline (Stephens) Butler.
Mark had many aunts and uncles including, Elbert and Thelma Stephens, Jay and Hazel Stephens, Leonard Stephens, Mary and Howard Crowson, Ellen and Paul O'Dell, Ruth and Pharis Conley, Elzie Butler, Earl Butler, Verline McKenney and Myreen Key.
He also had several cousins, Roger Stephens, Diane Speer, Kelly Stephens, Stephen Crowson, Gary O'Dell, Paula Blackwell, Kathy Neasham, Deb Conley, Jon Conley and Kole Conley. Several of Mark's family and friends survive.
Mark was baptized on Easter Sunday, in 2019, at First General Baptist Church in Piggott. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed watching baseball. He also was a fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks. He spent many years farming with his father, which he enjoyed. He loved cats and always had many cats on the farm. He was known for collecting family and friends obituary notices.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Ark. with Bro. Chris Brantley officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Crowson, Jon Conley, Jeff Smart, Darrell McCrillis, Tony Pace and Enoch Richardson.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, of Piggott, is in charge of the arrangements.
