Wanda Mae Hale
Wanda Mae Hale, of Rector, Ark., passed from this world on February 11, 2021, at the age of 83. She helped feed many children over the years, working for 24 years as a cook in the Rector School District. Wanda was well known for her delicious chocolate rolls and delicious cooking. She also enjoyed fishing.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Beulah (Johnson) Walls; her husband, Windell Hale; a son, David Hale; a son-in-law, Dennis Williams; and her siblings, Hughey Walls, Dellar Williams, Viola McKenney, William Walls, Brenda Hampton and Lavern Hector.
She is survived by her children, Wayne and Jackie Hale of Bono, Ark. and Kim Williams of Rector; grandchildren, Casie Vaughn, Matt Hale, Jeremy Black and Shannon, Steven Williams and Amy, Chad Williams and Lillian, Kaley Hale, Kristen Lancaster, Jerry Hale and Shelley; great-grandchildren, Lilly Vaughn, Quinn Black, Beck Black, Justin Williams, Colton Williams, Emily Williams, LynnLee Jewel Lancaster, Aubree Hale, Tinsley Hale, Jaycie Hale, Hazley Hale, Zander Harris; and twins on the way.
Visitation will be held beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home, in Rector, with the service following at 2. Interment will be in the Woodland Heights Cemetery, Rector.
