Three Rivers College Championship College Rodeo planned

The Three Rivers College Championship College Rodeo, presented by Farm Credit Southeast Missouri, will be held Oct. 5-7. The event, co-hosted by the Sikeston Jaycees, will be held at the Art Saunders Arena at the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo grounds.

Rector Chamber to host membership meeting

The Rector Area Chamber of Commerce will host their annual membership meeting from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11 at the Rector Community Center. Lunch will be catered by Traveling Wisk for a cost of $15 per person the day of the meeting.

BRAD Summer Entergy Assistance Program to close soon

Black River Area Development Corporation has announced the Summer Entergy Assistance Program will close Friday, Sept. 29, 2023. Program coordinators report applications for Summer Energy Assistance will be accepted from 9 a.m. to noon, and from 1 to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. In turn, the applications will be processed until it appears the funds have been fully depleted.

RHS girls basketball teams holding calendar fundraiser

The Rector junior and senior high girls basketball teams are holding a community calendar fundraiser. The calendar will consist of birthdays, anniversaries, memorials, etc. and will be available for purchase later this year. The cost to have dates included will be $5.00 per each date listed. Forms and money are due by Friday, Sept. 29 and may be turned in at the elementary of high school office.
