Dortha Jean Huff, 83 of Rector, Ark., passed away on June 12, 2022, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark. She was born to the late Freeman and Turna (Mailer) Huff in Clay County, Ark.

Dortha was employed at Ely Walker for over 19 years and then later worked as a health care worker. She was a caring and compassionate lady. Most of all she loved her Lord and was a very active member of the Union Home General Baptist Church. She went over 35 years without missing a service and was very proud of this fact.

Dortha was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: James Huff and a sister: Frances Huff.

She is survived by her cousins: Jerry and Sandy Huff, Marcelle Roberts, her doctor: Noel Stacey who she considered family and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation was held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector. The service began at 11 a.m. with Marston Carpenter as the pastor. Interment was at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Union Home Baptist Church.
