Representatives from a central Arkansas company, FCS, are hiring in the Piggott community and surrounding areas. FCS began recruiting in the Piggott area in September, and due to the success of the initiative is looking to expand their employee base in Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri. Organizers of the annual Clay County Department of Human Services Christmas Project report another successful effort. According to DHS county administrator Annette Dutka, “In the Piggott and Rector area we helped 23 families which was 61 children. In the Corning area, which includes McDougal and Knobel, we helped 36 families which was 86 children”...

With a heart for Rector, the Rector High School FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and Service Learning group under the leadership of school counselor Christin Holmes served at the Rector Food Ban this past Wednesday.
