Brenda Lee Lamar, 64, of Rector, Ark., passed away December 26, 2021, at her home in Rector, surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 11, 1957, in Rector, and was the daughter of the late Bill and Rellie (Bridges) Farmer.

Brenda was united in marriage to Melvin Ralph Lamar on May 24, 1993.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son William Lee Stokes; sisters, Ollie Laxton and Dorothy Bridges; brothers, Ricky Farmer and James Farmer.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Melvin Ralph Lamar of the home; her children, Robert (Dawn Renee) Stokes of Boydsville, Ark., Melvin Lamar, Jr. of Rector, Jerry (Angela) Stokes of Rector, Steven (Valandia) Lamar of Lafe, Misty (James) Easton of Russell, Ark., Carrol (David) Burns of Corning, Josh (Bethany) Stokes of Rector, Emma (Roger) Forbes of Marmaduke, Gabriel Shane Lamar of Rector, Tommy Stokes of Greenway, Patricia (Richard) Wright of Cherokee Village, Ark., and Felicia (Shawn) Wagster of Missouri; 38 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dennis (Barbara) Farmer of Marmaduke and Loyd Farmer of Knobel; sisters, Kay Rogers of Montana; sister-in-law, Renee Farmer; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the First General Baptist Church of Rector with Bro. Ken Price officiating. Burial is in Ramer's Chapel Cemetery near Marmaduke. Pallbearers will be Manuel Lamar, Dalton Lamar, Triston Lamar, Alex Lamar, Caleb Stokes, Colby Stokes, Tyler Wheat, and Michael Calhoun. Corbin Crow will serve as honorary pallbearer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott.
