Barbara Jo Souheaver

Barbara Jo Souheaver was born September 6, 1938, to Dallas and Vada Marie (Nesbitt) Souheaver, and left this world on May 18, 2022, at Rector Nursing and Rehab Center. She is survived by a nephew, Sam (Ann) Presley of Paragould, and her sisters Jean Cole of Rector, and Kay Smith of Oak Grove, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

CLAY COUNTY CATTLEMEN’S SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT

The Clay County Cattlemen’s Association is proud to announce Carly Robinson of Rector High School as the recipient of this year’s CCCA Scholarship. She plans to attend Black River Technical College to major in Animal Science. Her goal is to obtain her degree and assist in her family cattle operation. As a student, Carly was active in FFA, softball, basketball, Math Club, Science Club and Pep Club. She is the daughter of Dawn Martin and Ward Robinson. Members of the CCA Scholarship Committee presenting the Certificate were Kenny Collier and Sherry Dills. Additional scholarship committee members are Dale Grimes, Randy Anders and Dillan Hartsfield.

Nominations are being accepted for the Piggott Schools PACE program (Program for Academic and Creative Excellence). Nomination forms may be picked up and returned to the elementary school or high school offices.
