SUMMER READING CONTINUES

The Rector Public Library Summer Reading Program continued Wednesday, June 22, and despite the hot weather over 110 children and adults enjoyed the turtles, snakes and alligators courtesy of Steven O’Neal and Stephen Speer with the Arkansas Game and Fish. Debbie Baker showed those in attendance how to make sushi and also enjoyed the furs, skulls, and other animal identifiers shown by Allison Howell from the Extension Office. Other things of interest included a miniature horse shown by Jaylee Hollis and a goat shown by Libby Green thanks to Rector FFA advisor Michael Hollis, tractors by Shelia and Darrel Dale, Allen Underwood with Jody and Heather Simmons Farm, Rector School District and an Air Flow brought by Scott Stirnaman from Graves Gin. Today will be the last of the programs and will feature The Kinders at 9 a.m. at the library. (Courtesy photo)
