Bonnie June Mazar, 81, of Piggott, Ark., passed away August 1, 2022, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott. She was born on October 23, 1940, in Piggott, and was the daughter of Joe and Pearl (Conley) Cagle.

Eddie Ray Reddick

Eddie Ray Reddick, born the son of Hulon Reddick, and Nadine Bishop Reddick, June 24, 1945, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Ed was raised in Rector, Ark., where he graduated from high school and met the love of his life, Jacqulene Shuemake Reddick. Jacqulene and Ed were married in 1964. Ed is predeceased by both of his beloved parents as well as countless good dogs who always seemed to like him more than the rest of us. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jacqulene, son Brian (Tiffany), three grandchildren, Connor, Grace, Sarah Reddick and countless friends and family.

William Owens

William Owens, 64, of Nimmons, Ark., passed away August 4, 2022, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark. He was born on October 27, 1957, in Nimmons, and was the son of the late LJ Owens and Pearl Moss Owens.

Canning class planned at Hemingway Pfeiffer

A “Peach Topping Preserves” canning class will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25 at the Education Center of the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum. Class size is limited therefore interested parties should sign up soon. This will be a hands-on class.Attendees will receive a recipe and a jar of the peach preserves to keep.
