Dennis Delane Adams

Dennis Delane Adams, 68 of Campbell, Mo., passed from this world on September 25, 2022, at his residence. He was born to the late Guy and Eva (Helms) Adams three miles from Graves Gin. He handpicked cotton in his younger years never realizing he would someday run the gin. He was voted in 2017 Ginner of the Year which was a great honor for him. He started out working at Holly Island Gin and learning the whole process and then eventually managing the gin. Later he ran Hayes and Graves Gin which is now Graves Gin located at Hargrave Corner. He worked in the Agriculture Business for over 40 years. Dennis loved playing golf and usually played every day since his retirement. He believed golf and ginning had similarities. If everything is humming along well, there’s no stress. But when things go south, both golf and ginning can significantly increase your level of frustration and stress.
