Rector to host annual craft fair

“All the booths are filled,” reported Community Center Director Linda Robinson, when speaking of the Rector Crafts Fair to be held Nov. 19, with breakfast being served in the dining room for early birds. No charge for admission, but shoppers may buy tickets for a door prize.

DHS Christmas project underway

Clay County Department of Human Services is now accepting applications from families for their annual Christmas assistance project. Applications will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 2, at the DHS office in Piggott or at Riverbank at 309 South Missouri Ave, Corning.

Rector Chamber announces parade details

Soon every device over which music is streamed into your car or home will be filled with a variety of Christmas tunes. Ranging from the old stalwart standards to the new, lively songs by contemporary artists, even before the first slice of the plump bird is devoured, it’s time for the holiday favorites. For some, it’s never too early for Christmas music, Christmas trees, and decorations that behavior specialists insist release extra quantities of the feel-good hormone dopamine. It’s only a few weeks until the Rector Christmas Parade.

Three Rivers opens registration for winter session and spring semester

Registration is now open to everyone for winter and spring classes at Three Rivers College. Students can register online, by phone, or by emailing an advisor. Register early to get your preferred classes and make sure your schedule works for you. The last day to register for the winter session is Dec. 9, and the last day to register for the spring semester is Jan. 13. The winter session begins Dec. 12, and the spring semester begins Jan. 17.
