Arkansas State Parks is introducing Club 52, a rewards program that encourages people to visit all 52 state parks. Club 52 is an extension of the Arkansas State Parks Passport Program, which helps guests document trips to state parks by receiving a stamp or stamp rubbing in an Arkansas State Parks Passport.

Donald Foster Donald Foster, 84, of Piggott, Ark., passed away December 27, 2022, at Piggott General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott. He was born on November 5, 1938, in Crockett, Ark., and was the son of the late William “Buck” and Flora (Bolton) Foster.
Donald Foster, 84, of Piggott, a former businessman and Piggott City Alderman, died Tuesday, December 27, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott. He joined his brother Melvin in 1967 in owning and operating Foster Auto Electric for many years.
A large crowd of family and friends gathered at the Clay County Courthouse in Piggott at midnight on New Year’s Eve for the swearingin of elected officials. This year Piggott and Rector both have new mayors and the county has a new sheriff.
July A large crowd turned out for the 95th annual edition of the Piggott Fourth of July Celebration and June Williams was announced Grand Marshal for the parade. The activities were highlighted by the crowning of Miss Piggott 2022, Handley McAtee of Kennett, along with Elise Gosse and Maddie Reeves as her court and Kalaya Cole as the People’s Choice winner.
