Rector High School presented its basketball homecoming court and crowned the King and Queen of 2023 Basketball Homecoming in a mid-day ceremony at the Rector gym on Friday, Jan. 27, with friends, family, and students in attendance.
Senator Blake Johnson (RCorning), who represents District 21, began his role as Senate Majority Leader as the 2023 Arkansas General Assembly began the second week of January. In an interview with the Clay County Times-Democrat, Johnson said the role of the Majority Leader is to lead the senate caucus of the majority party, to help develop policy and to help keep the caucus unified in order to help members pass and develop good policy.
The annual Clay and Greene County Corn and Cotton Production meeting was held Friday, January 27th, 2023, at the Rector Community Center. A nice crowd of over 60 produces, crop consultants, and industry representatives were in attendance.
On Thursday, Jan. 26, Piggott kindergarteners celebrated their 100th day of school by dressing up and having a parade through the halls of the elementary school. The students and teachers had a blast as they paraded down the hall dressed up like they were 100 years old.
