Three Rivers College is offering five free training programs this summer to help recent high school graduates get valuable skills for a great start in life. The Project Drive (Direct Rural Initiative Vying for Employment) federal grant offers free training to give high school graduates a great start in life.
Eligible single parents are invited to apply for summer 2023 scholarships at aspsf.org/applynow. The deadline to apply is March 15.
Scholarships are now available for eligible Arkansas students through Arkansas Community Foundation. The Community Foundation’s scholarships are for Arkansas students pursuing education at twoor four-year colleges or universities, vocational schools or technical training programs.
Piggott and Rector participate in annual roadblock Despite the cold temperatures, volunteers across Northeast Arkansas came out in full force for the 25th annual Make-A-Wish Foundation as the 2023 Have-AHeart, Wish-A-Thon was held. Region wide the event was a huge success with Clay County raising $32,355.
Senior Night at Rector High School took place before the basketball contests pitting two Clay County teams, Rector vs. Corning. The five Cougar concert and marching band members honored comprised a portion of the basketball pep band and the basketball teams each recognized five senior players while the cheer squad, comprised of all underclassmen, honored one senior.
