Virginia Lamp Lively Virginia Lamp Lively was born February 12, 1932, in Piggott, Ark., to John Gordon Lamp and Flora Ann Arendell Lamp. She died Tuesday, January 24, 2023, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 90 years.

Once again this year, volunteers from across Northeast Arkansas will be manning roadblocks to collect funds in the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Have-a-Heart Wish-a-Thon. The roadblocks will be set up at various locations across the region from 6 a.m.
A large portion of Rector City Council meeting held at the Community Center on Monday evening at 6 p.m. was devoted to a report by Craig Johnson of CRIST Engineering, the firm the City hired to lead the engineering project and correct the waste water system problem that has been out of compliance with ADEQ for multiple years. His report addressed the initial proposal review including two primary improvement options and funding options.

The Piggott FFA Chapter will celebrate National FFA Week, Feb. 20 through March 3. More than half a million members will participate in National FFAWeek activities at local, state and national levels. These members have a passion for agriculture.
