Electric Cooperative of Arkansas to sponsor 2023 State Spelling Bee
The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas are hosting the 2023 Arkansas State Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 11 at the Arkansas 4-H Center in Little Rock. The public is invited to attend the event.

March is Women’s History Month and during the month the library will be honoring important women from U.S. history. They will also be honoring the women in our community. Patrons are asked to nominate an influential or important woman from their life, past or present. Every nominee will be displayed at the library circulation desk for the month of March and the cost is $1.00.

On Thursday, March 2, Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the guidelines for his annual Congressional Art Competition for high school students (grades 9-12) in the First District of Arkansas. This competition is part of a nationwide high school visual arts competition sponsored by the Congressional Institute.

Ryan Rogers Chili Cook-Off a success
The annual Ryan Rogers Chili (and more) Cook-Off and Supper was held on the customary last Saturday in February with over 125 diners taking advantage of $5 all you can eat, taste, and enjoy. The late Ryan Rogers won the community center’s first chili cook-off with “fat man chili,” his famous recipe that included a bit of brown sugar.
