FCS WORKSHOP HELD IN PIGGOTT

First Collection Services held a workshop Thursday, March 23 at the Piggott Community Center. FCS has now hired approximately 125 people from this area.The ones hired this week will be doing first party work as Summit Utilities. First party is assisting companies with their on-call centers. Executive vice-president, Gary Adams, noted, “The quality of employees is superior here than in Little Rock. We have people from Arkansas and Missouri with some coming from over an hour away. When we first started here, we hired 10 people, now we are up to 125.”Being hired consist of a virtual interview, a test to check vocabulary, math, spelling and speech. There is then a background check and drug test. At this time FCS does work for seven companies which includes Duke Energy, Summit Utilities, UGI, Arvest Mortgage, KBS Janitorial Supply,The Real Yellow Pages and ONE Gas. Proudest Kid essay winners named

The Piggott Area Chamber of Commerce once again sponsored the “Proudest Kid in Piggott” essay contest for Piggott Elementary School third graders. The students of third grade continued the long-standing tradition, as they composed essays telling why they are the “Proudest Kid in Piggott”.
