Emmanuel Baptist Church of Piggott will host its annual Easter celebration with a full schedule of special events and activities for Easter weekend. The church, which is located at 829 East North Street at the corner of North Johnson Street in Piggott, will kick things off this Friday at 6 p.m. with the traditional carry the cross. Everyone is invited to join in as members of the congregation carry the cross from the Piggott square to the church.

Local artist, Carolyn Caldwell and her husband Richard, moved to this area in 1994 from Freeport, Maine. This is the location they have settled down in after living in a variety of cities and states.
