Powhatan Historic State Park to host Trial by Jury

Powhatan Historic State Park will host a Trial by Jury from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 27. Put yourself in place where history happened as you become judge, part of the jury, a lawyer, or maybe even the accused as we bring a court case from Powhatan’s history to life. No acting experience is needed, but participants should come ready to dive in. Space is limited and reservations are required. There is a registration fee of $25. Red Cross blood drive set

TheAmerican Red Cross is facing a critical blood shortage and has issued an appeal for blood donors. The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, April 28, at the Piggott High School located at 533 East Main Street. Those who wish to schedule other blood donations may go online at www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS.

WBU to host art exhibit

Williams Baptist University will host an art exhibit April 21-26 in the Maddox Center Art Gallery, located on the second floor of the WBU’s Maddox Center. The exhibit will feature the work of WBU students produced throughout the year.

Virtual claims clinic slated

The Little Rock VA Regional Office’s next Virtual Claims Clinic for Arkansas Veterans is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, April 27. During the upcoming Virtual Claims Clinic, veterans may speak to staff of the Little Rock VA Regional Office who are ready to assist them with specific questions regarding VA benefits claims.
