As summer is in full swing, the recruiting season for Crowley’s Ridge College’s head baseball coach Brenden Camp and assistant coach Tray Malone has officially come into full effect. 1983 The price on marriage licenses will increase from $10 to $20 on July 1, 1983. The law has also been changed on the blood test requirements.
The annual Pollard Picnic, to benefit the New Hope Cemetery, will be held Saturday, July 8, in Pollard. As usual, this year’s picnic will include a full schedule of beauty pageants for contestants of all ages.

The children of Homer and Dora Causey will be hosting a family reunion beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, at the Pollard Picnic ground. All family and friends are invited to attend. Organizers note a potluck meal will be served at noon.
