The Clay County Sheriff’s Department reports that at approximately 8:04 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, they were asked to do a welfare check on an 18-month-old child in St. Francis. The residence was under suspicion of selling narcotics. Apparently, the mother of the child had been arguing with the husband and the father had taken the child and left. The mother of the child met the deputy, and they went to her and the husband’s residence at 502 South Rice Street in St. Francis. The husband, Anthony Page, has a search waiver with Probation Parole. The Sheriff’s Department conducted a search of the residence where numerous illegal items were found. 29-year-old Kristie S. Page was taken into custody at that time. On Monday, July 3, the Sheriff’s Department got an arrest warrant signed by a judge for the arrest of 40year-old Anthony Page. He was taken into custody Monday evening at approximately 6:25 p.m. by the Sheriff’s Department. He was a passenger in a vehicle as they came into St. Francis. Both were arrested for possession of meth or cocaine with intent to deliver, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to the Clay County Detention Center.
