Thursday night, Aug. 17, the Rector Community Museum presented another hit show with the Lake Street Gospel Band on the Ford Room stage, singing and playing old-time gospel choruses. Along with a buffet supper for a sold-out VIP ticket, the crowd mingled in the Showroom and the Farm Room, greeting friends, neighbors, and fellow church members. Those who watch the concerts live-streamed may tap their toes to the music, but they miss fantastic food and great humor. In this Thursday night concert, the audience responded to the music which contained “sermon songs,” stories and testimonies of life struggles set to music with an uplifting message.
