PHS to host blood drive

Piggott High School will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 3. The drive will be held in the PHS Library and is open to the public. Donors are asked to call 1800-733-2767 or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter Piggott High School to schedule an appointment.

WELCOME CENTER REPORT

This month we received brochures from Buffalo River Air Tours, The Rag Barn in Alpena, Jimmy Driftwood Barn & Folk Hall of Fame, Rogers Historical Museum and the DoubleTree by Hilton Hot Springs. In addition, we also received brochures advertising Hardy Homesteaders Day, which will be on September 30 at Loberg Park in Hardy from 9 a.m.

BRAD announces Summer Entergy Assistance Program to end Sept. 29

Black River Area Development Corporation has announced the Summer Entergy Assistance Program will close Friday, Sept. 29, 2023. Program coordinators report applications for Summer Energy Assistance will be accepted from 9 a.m. to noon, and from 1 to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. In turn, the applications will be processed until it appears the funds have been fully depleted.
